Kim-Monique Johnson, MSW, SHRM-SCP, CPC, ELI-MP
Why I do what I do
I’ve been in work environments where I was the first and only - as the only Black person or, the only gay person. Having served as the chief human resources officer at Planned Parentahood Federation of America, I have also been in a high stakes, high pressure, fast-paced environment. It was a Black woman coach who helped me feel seen and understood.
Global Experience
English and sex education teacher in Gabon, Central Africa Co-led the first LGBTQ+ multi-year training for healthcare providers in Lima, Perú.
Personal Accomplishments
I rode a bicycle 300 miles in four days from Bear Mountain, New York to Boston, Massachusetts for an HIV/AIDS fundraiser, skydived at 13,000 feet and now enjoy the more gentle practices of t’ai chi and yoga.
“You are your best thing.
