The Art and Science of Coaching
Mentor Coaching is focused on developing coaching skills in alignment with the ICF Core Competencies, rather than on business development, personal development, or supervision. It is required for ICF credentialing (ACC, PCC, MCC) and involves direct feedback and coaching from a mentor coach based on observed coaching sessions.
In alignment with the ICF Tamarra’s Mentor Coaching Program is:
Conducted over a period of at least three months
Includes a minimum of 10 hours of mentor coaching for credential applicants.
At least three of the 10 hours are one-on-one sessions focused on the goals, tasks, and desires of the coach. Many clients bring samples of recorded sessions to the calls to obtain additional feedback while others focus on increasing confidence and competence.
Focuses on enhancing a coach’s competency in accordance with ICF standards.
Involves feedback based on actual coaching sessions (recordings or live observations).
As a Master Certified Coach, Tamarra mentors coaches who are applying for all three levels of credentialing (ACC, PCC, MCC).
Tamarra brings her engaging and easy-going style to the partnership she creates in her mentor coaching sessions. She creates and maintains safety for her mentor coach clients to fully bring their unique style to the coaching sessions and while providing constructive and actionable feedback that allows her clients to progress their coaching confidence and competence.
